This perspective is shared in my recent feature in Sin Chew Daily. Through my parents’ journey, I came to realise how difficult it can be to manage what we cannot see. This experience led me to explore how technology, especially continuous monitoring, can bring greater clarity, confidence, and peace of mind to both patients and their families.

As AI becomes more embedded in everyday work, the real challenge organizations face is no longer access to technology, but how work itself is designed. This article explores how AI can be used to augment human capabilities through reducing low-value tasks, supporting better thinking, and amplifying human impact. It also highlights the risks of poor augmentation and the leadership choices required to build a future workforce that is not only more productive, but more human.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping work faster than any change in history. AI is not here to replace people, but to transform tasks and elevate human roles toward higher value work such as creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making. History shows that when technology advances, jobs evolve and those who adapt move forward. To prepare for this shift, organizations must strengthen human thinking skills, build digital fluency, encourage adaptability, and teach employees to work with AI as a partner. Continuous learning and cross-disciplinary collaboration become essential. With the right preparation, AI becomes a powerful tool that amplifies human potential and creates a more innovative future.
